Fascinating, July 18, 2009 Review By:Tony Manne This is one powerful documentary. In an engaging and fast-paced manner, you feel you get to know this remarkable young Canadian and along the way you meet an interesting group of people who have helped Adrian grow and mature in his career as a classical violinist. As well as teachers, technicians, and parents, the ‘cast’ includes Pinchas Zuckerman, Itzhak Perlman, and Peter Oundjian, who make the whole story that much more fascinating. Adrian himself is clearly a warmhearted and spirited musician, totally committed to his craft. Yes, you are quickly made aware of his physical challenges, but soon also of the extraordinary ways in which he has surmounted them and triumphed in his musical excellence. How he actually achieves this still baffles me. But it’s inspiring! I saw the documentary when it first aired last year on the Documentary Channel and again this year on Bravo, and enjoyed it immensely both times. Adding it now to my home library was an easy decision.
