In this entertaining and illuminating program, CBC Radio’s Quirks & Quarks teamed up with the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo and assembled a panel of ten prominent physicists from around the world. Each panelist was asked to name the biggest question that science has, so far, been unable to answer. The arguments were made before a live audience at Glenn Gould Studio at the CBC Broadcasting Centre in Toronto.
Questions Include:
How did the universe begin?
What is the universe made of?
What role does quantum physics play in biology?
Is there life elsewhere in the universe?
Does time exist?
Is there a theory, yet to be discovered, that underlies quantum theory and explains its structure?
How can we travel to other stars in a human lifespan?
How real is reality?
Are there Earth-like planets elsewhere in the universe?
What is empty space made of?
And more!
